Striking off along an unmarked trail not too far from Ahwahnee Meadow we came upon a small opening with a single Dogwood in early bloom with nothing but the flowers open. Pine needles decorated the branches of the Dogwood like orange tinsel on a Christmas Tree. Looking towards Glacier Point the distant cliffs were in a deep blue shadows. A beautiful small area we hope we can find again.
