This is one of the more spectacular sites you will see. The starburst pattern is natural as the lighthouse puts out 24 beams of light in all directions at once. This image was taken at the 2008 lighting on a crystal clear night. I also have pictures taken during foggy nights. Both are spectacular. The lighthouse sits about 40 miles south of San Francisco and 20 miles north of Santa Cruz on California's famous Highway One.
