As sunset approached storm clouds that had covered the park earlier in the day dumping the season’s first snow returned and darkened the skies. Just as hope was fading that the sunset would light up the valley the sun slipped under the clouds illuminating them in a spectacular glow fitting of the wide range of Autumn colors currently in Yosemite Valley. The early snow had combined with Fall colors to make for a special time in the Valley. It’s rare to see this much snow this early in the season and it made for a great day in the park and a most spectacular sunset.
