Half Dome and Sentinel Bridge reflect in Autumns calm waters on the Merced. The skies which had been solid cloud soon began to break up in perfect cotton ball clouds over the dome. Light slipped under the clouds and lit up Half Dome so I took it as time. Most people would have just shot this from the bridge but I wanted to get the bridge in the shot. So I waded out in to frigid waters of the Merced. It was a shock at first buy my feet soon adjusted to the cold, but never quite to the rocks. I stayed for a bit timing my images to avoid the flow of cars and foot traffic across the bridge. The park was slow and I didn’t have to wait long. It was one of those days where everything is just perfect. It had been a while and I really needed one.
