Yosemite Valley - Twilight Fog

Yosemite Valley - Twilight Fog

Twilight falls quickly on the valley as the last of the storm clouds blow out leaving a layer of fog in the valley illuminated by the traffic of cars driving through the valley following the first snowfall of the year. This image is composed of 5 separate images exposed of 30 seconds each. I waited for the car to drive all the way down the valley during the shots. All the images were then stacked to illuminate the fog around the path the car takes through the winding valley floor. The sky is from a single 30 second exposure to prevent star trails which only slightly show up at 30 seconds. I had to contend with color correcting for some serious lights that were set up for work on the tunnel behind us as it turned many of the trees bright orange red.
