Autumn in Yosemite is nothing if not spectacular but often missing from the scenery is the thunderous roar of Spring’s waterfalls. Yosemite Falls had slowed to a trickle having all but dried up over the long summer. However, Autumn of 2016 would not go the way of previous years and with an early October storm blowing through the Sierra Nevada, Yosemite Falls sprang back to life quite literally overnight. It’s thunderous roar as the water slaps the rocks below and can be heard across Yosemite Valley echoing through the canyon. Combined with the Autumn colors that filled the canyon it was a perfect Trick and Treat.
