Towering flames rocket skyward in the Willow Fire just south of Bass Lake. We thought we had seen the highest flames then I heard the small crowd that has assembled gasp and look up from my lens to see these flames shooting up from the drought stricken forest. Winds had changed direction slightly and it carried the flames up the hillside.
