Stunningly beautiful and horrific scenery as Yosemite National Park burns under a star filled sky. We stood for hours along the ridge to Glacier Point watching the plumes flare up then die down only to erupt again just a few minutes later as the fire jumped from tree to tree across the canyon below. The image was taken on the 5th of August but it took some time to clean up the blurred stars that were created under the long exposure. The process of removing the streaks caused by long exposure one star at a time is, well time consuming.
