I took this before we were evacuated for the Creek Fire but didn't have time to get it off the camera before we had to get out. Seems poetic for the times we are enduring right now.

We have a number of these birds on the lake and I always enjoy catching them in flight as they are one of the best at catching the updrafts and soaring for hours.
