The sun had just set and the Bay Bridge lights came on while there was still a good amount of light in the sky. I was a little worried the LEDs on the bridge would not show up well against the bright backdrop of clouds and light from the Port of Oakland. The Bay Bridge lights were bright enough to cast shimmering reflections of light upon the waters next to the Embarcadero in San Francisco. With the aperture still wide open as I took the first few shots thinking a smaller aperture would work better but upon processing I liked the colorful sparkles the fast exposure left on the water. The smell of San Francisco’s finest restaurants filled the air making the wife and I quite hungry and eager to get to dinner but the light was so fantastic we stayed till the skies darkened and the stars came out from behind the clouds.
