Still under construction the new Oakland Bay Bridge is coming along nicely. Illuminated by construction lights it's lit up like a Christmas tree. In the background, the old Oakland Bay Bridge which partially collapsed during the Loma Prieta earthquake of 1989. Only a small portion of the bridge collapsed but it was deemed that it would not stand during a big one so after much argument they started on this new suspension design. In the foreground, a small yacht that reminds me of the one Judge Smails (Ted Knight) was so proud of. I am sure most of you will recognize reference to the Judge.
