Reflections

Morning light breaks through the canopy and bathes the redwood covered hillside in golden light which was nicely reflected in the creek that runs though John Muir National Monument just outside of San Francisco. The unusually calm waters made for a near perfect reflection of the towering trees. The forest was pristine and washed clean by a predawn rainstorm which helped to create deep rich saturated colors in the early morning light. Ferns span a fallen tree that spans the small creek while others are coated in a thick layer of bright green moss.
