These clouds blew overhead so quickly it left the false impression the ground was moving underneath your feet. The stunning view is one of my all time favorites places to visit as it serves up a beautiful view of Half Dome, Nevada and Vernal Falls and the distant Sierra Nevada peaks in the far distance. The two deep canyons below were carved by the meeting of two ancient glaciers creating a number of large waterfalls, exposed granite domes and the distinct U shaped valley of Yosemite. The air this high up is thin and clear allowing you to see clearly to the most distant peaks and providing for the most stunning blue skies. This visit lies along Glacier Point road not quite all the way up to the point and provides a somewhat unique view.
