A Snowy Egret hunts crustaceans hidden in the sand as the light from the setting sun illuminates the fast moving clouds above the bridge of Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz, California. Children played in the surf as I arrived but as the evening wind and chill set in this stunning landscape was left alone to me, a few diehard photographers and dozens seabirds or so. The wet sand made for a near perfect mirror rocks and sky in a photographers dream. The day had been hazy but just as the sun set clouds rolled in off the Pacific Ocean creating deep blue waves that washed in an out of the archway.
