The wind was lightly blowing in off the ocean. The half-moon was out and high in the sky as the sunset lit the horizon. Walking in the damp sand where it is firm and easy to walk we strolled back toward the lighthouse to prepare to return home. I noticed the rocks made for an interesting view of the lighthouse so I setup for a few last shots. That turned into a number of shots as the sky darkened and the last bit of gold light lit the highest clouds. The clouds were moving quickly along the coastline and soon it was almost too dark to see to make our way back up the steps to the car. It began to rain on the way home but it was worth staying those few extra hours.
