Lynn and I had made our way up for a walk at Bass Lake with Blue and of course I took my camera. I shot the sunset as usual and as we were making our way back to the car to head home we stopped to talk to a young couple sitting at the gazebo. I kept and eye on the lake and started to notice the color was coming back. I pardoned myself from the conversation and made my way back down the hill to the lake and out on to the little peninsula where the creeks meets the lake. The water level has started to drop so there is lot of duck muck and mud. I focused towards the sunset when some pink over Goat Mountain caught my eye. I had avoided pointing the camera that way to avoid the mercury vapor light on the dock but the sky just wouldn’t let me ignore it. I took another step forward into the mud, set up the tripod and took a long exposure. I couldn’t believe the colors the camera was seeing. Oh I have lots more of this one and I will get to them I am sure but wanted to share this with you tonight.
