San Francisco rings in the New Year with fireworks over one of the more beautiful skylines of California. The annual show arrives at the stroke of midnight and dazzles thousands of partiers that have flooded the city to celebrate and ring in the new year. With the fireworks above, the city below and the stunning Bay Bridge as a backdrop with its suspension cables adorned with strings of light it makes for a remarkable show. 2013 officially arrives on the west coast of the United States. Atop the famous Transamerica pyramid is mounted a special intensely bright light glows for the holiday twinkling in the sky like a distant supernova.
