Happy New Year 2015 from Bass Lake, California. It was a very cold winter night, well at least it was for California, on Bass Lake. Low clouds and fog danced around the lake as a high moon illuminated the forest and the occasional stars twinkled in the sky above the forest that surrounds the lake. The Pines put on a short but sweet fireworks show over the lake. Temperatures dipped in to the low 20's and the wind off the lake made it feel more like it was in the teens. I know my friends back East are laughing at this poor California boys inability handle the cold but it was night getting back to the cabin and settling in to a nice warm bed. Hoping you all have a great 2015 and I will try to post a couple more shots after my fingers defrost a bit.
