Framed by the white trunk of two Aspen trees, fall colors surround a small beaver pond near Lake Lundy in California's High Sierra mountain range. I have heard it said many times that California doesn't have seasons. We do, you just have to sometimes know where to look. We drove south from Bishop all the way north to Sonora Pass and there was spectacular color all along the trip. There was so much color, it was hard to know where to go and when to stop. We came away with some stunning mountain scenery that is typical of the very unique Sierra Nevada mountains. Those beavers sure are lucky!
