Strange rock formations are illuminated by the midnight moon and a small LED headlamp to create this ghostly white view of the famous Mono Lake Tufas. Stars twinkle in the crisp air well after midnight as high clouds drift over the vast salt lake. This was a simple LED headlamp with a couple of AAA batteries painted over 30 seconds of exposure. It would result in one of the more striking images of the night.
