The spring plume of algae turns the waters green which then mixes with the
near perfect reflection of a bright blue sky to make some very photographic
shades of greens and blues. These are not the typical turquoise and
emerald greens like I see often on the California but somewhat of an eerie
mix of green like you might expect in a toxic waste. And since not a drop
of this water is drinkable I guess it's not all that far off.
