After a fair amount of hiking up the stream we paused to take a break and spent a couple hours and just enjoyed the light bouncing off the leaves of the aspen as the creek flowed by. Eventually the sun came out and color on the distant trees exploded in golden magic. We watched as birds dipped into the creek to drink from the fresh clean water then skirted off to do what birds do. A spiritual moment in nature is a moment lived.
