Winter Wilderness - Yosemite National Park

We walked along the river as it began to snow. A small peninsula jutted out onto the river and we carefully made our way down. The scene was beautiful with the nights previous snow and the trees reflecting darkly upon the river as it meandered back and forth through Yosemite Canyon. The fog hid the giant cliffs surrounding us but we would occasionally get a glimpse of their grand heights. The park was pretty quiet given it had previously been busy with tourist the past week. We enjoyed the solitude finally giving to the cold and returning to warm ourselves at Yosemite Lodge with a good meal.
