The air was crisp and the nights chill started early. Pulling our coats tight as we arrived on the cliffs above Yosemite Valley looking directly toward the ever impressive massive rock mountain that is Half Dome. It one of those things so massive that each time you look at it, it seems more massive than your memory can allow. Then there was a burst of light illuminated the distant ridge like a jewel atop a crown. The super moon rose above the distant peaks as the last bit of alpine glow bounced off the granite dome.
