Yosemite Moonglow

Yosemite Moonglow

It was the last day of summer and a huge storm blew through Yosemite Valley. The forecast was for a 10% chance of rain and so I thought we might get a good sunset. But by sunset the valley was experiencing a torrential downpour and from Tunnel View you couldn’t even seen the nearby trees. It was pitch black out except for the glow of cars driving though the fog below. But then just as I was about to give up and pack it in with no shots to show for the efforts, the moon began to glow through the clouds and the fog began to break up. This is the result. We stayed till the clouds gave way to the moon and stars but it was just too much contrast.
