Half Dome towers above the Merced River at Stoneman Bridge in Yosemite Valley. The water was a tad chilly but the toughest part was all the sharp pebbles. I should have known to bring my water shoes but that would have been out of character for me. I braved the hard stones barefoot much as I had when I was a kid. The icy cold water was somewhat exhilarating but the view was really what made it worth doing. Half Dome edged out above the tall pines to tower over the bridge getting that shot that can only come from Yosemite National Park. Just like a postcard I had hanging on my wall as a kid.
