We went to see the Yosemite forest fire that had broken out in Little Yosemite Valley south of Half Dome. We arrived just in time to see the full moonrise over the distant peaks to the south. If you look closely you can see some smoke in the forest from the raging wildfire just off screen. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to get both in the shot due to the angle but it was a beautiful site without the devastating wildfire.
