This is Yosemite

This is Yosemite! It may not be the towering cliffs of granite or the thundering waterfalls but this is the vast wilderness that makes up the bulk of Yosemite National Park is and is just as impressive as the typical post card shots from the Valley far below. Here a massive storm column builds above Olmsted Point lifting vast amounts of moisture high in to the atmosphere. It would later produce rain, thunder and a good deal of hail not far from Yosemite Creek which feeds the spectacular Yosemite Falls. Here atop the rocks, trees root into the cracks inking out a living between the ancient granite slabs. Grass barely makes a living in the rocks so the massive conifers seem almost super powered. Their bark twisted and torn from icy winters and electrical thunderstorms. To live here builds character that can easily be seen.
