A baby bear chomps on insects in the bark of an old stump while its mother strips the stump to find more goodies for her cub. This was such a precious time as mother and cub calmly dinned in the afternoon sun on a hillside in Yosemite National Park. Many come to Yosemite to see the incredible cliffs of granite and stunning waterfalls. Seeing a bear is still somewhat rare. Being allowed to watch a mother feed her cub for hours is probably one of the best times I have had in the park.
