The pilots who fight California's wild fires are simply incredible to watch. After making a couple of overhead passes the Cal Fire crew brings the plane in skimming the steep incline of the mountain terrain and then drops the fire retardant perfectly where it is needed the most. It takes incredible professionalism and nerves of steel to swoop in so close to the tree tops at high speeds then pull up and out of the canyon bottom just below.
