Fire and Half Dome - Yosemite National Park
Flames whip up the steep canyon walls of Yosemite National Park's High Country destroying acres of beautiful pristine forests closing a number of the parks most famous trails. The flames glowed under a full moon. Started several days earlier by a lightning strike this type of fire is natural for Yosemite National Park but the lingering California Drought has made everything so dry that it doesn't take much to set off a raging inferno.
