On a warm day a light breeze blew across the lake carrying the soft scent of sweet peas. The thunderclouds that had threatened though the afternoon began to break up allowing the setting sunlight to slip under and light the clouds up from below. The crowds gave way and a peaceful calm came across the lake. We stayed to watch the last bit of light just as a soft rain began to fall changing the scent to that of fresh rain. A perfect Father’s Day at Bass Lake.
