Lighting Storm - Bass Lake, California
With the day ending the massive clouds began to collapse pushing high winds across the lake. The energy released created a downpour of rain and lightning bolts that crawled across the distant sky suddenly peaking through the clouds to illuminate the horizon. The last bit of sunlight tinted the high clouds red as the full moon barely remained just high enough to illuminate the falling clouds. High above the clouds the stars that could compete with the bright moon came out to shine. Small waves lashed against the shore in the high winds caused by the storm. Off in the distance, the faint sound of the clapping thunder could be heard echoing in the dark following the sudden bursts of light. One of those magical nights where you get more than your senses can take in at once.
