It was a dark and stormy night...

It was a dark and stormy night in the City by the Bay. What started as a thick mist and drizzle on the beach turned in to a steady pour. The wind blowing the waves way up onto China Beach reflected the bridge in the distance. The light from the Golden Gate bridge sparkled on the turbulent ocean bouncing as waves rose and fell across the sandy beach. It was a warm storm but the dampness soaked you to your bone. The lights in the homes above glowed down on the rocks making them shimmer in the wind and mist. The first storm of Fall meant good news for the bone dry Northern California Coast and distant mountains. It was a somber night as nights often are on a the foggy San Franciscan coast. You get used to it after a while... and after a manner I suppose. The only thing that remained totally dry was the lens itself. Then it was homeward bound with nary a shot to account for my time in the Bay Area. Sometimes you take what you can get.
