The cool steel blue sky of a cold December twilight sets a backdrop for the gleaming orange spectacle of artistry known as the Golden Gate Bridge. Chasing the storm clouds as they moved quickly south we opted for one of our favorite and popular views of the bridge with the sparkling small city of San Francisco glowing on the horizon. A few clouds linger as the cold air sets in over the City by the Bay. Don't let the reading of the thermometer fool you. The cold very damp windy air cuts though your warmest clothing chilling you to the bone quickly. The salty air takes its toll on camera gear and even die hard photographers. This popular site usually hosts a number of photographers at all hours of the evening, especially at twilight, but this cold night was oddly empty as the sunlight gave way to a star filled sky.
