California Sunset

The sun sets over the California coastline just north of San Francisco and above the little town of Stinson Beach and Bolinas Bay in one of the best displays of sunset color I've seen. Just a few minutes earlier, the fog you see in the foreground had completely obliterated any view of the sun and everything was completely gray. Then like magic, the fog lifted and the light show began. The road to the right twists and turns from Mt. Tamalpais, the Bay Area's largest coastal peak, down to Stinson Beach. In the right side of the image you can make out Bolinas Lagoon glowing in the reflected light of the sky.

This large Panorama was created from 13 images taken by hand in portrait and once stitched together measures 25,119 x 6351 pixels in total size. In other words, to view this at 100% on my 24" monitors (1920 x 1200) I would need just over 68 monitors (13 monitors wide and 5.3 monitors tall).
