Stormy clouds move in above the Santa Cruz coastline at Natural Bridges State Park. The storm clouds made for an interesting image of this famous beach which sits at the northern most end of the little town of Santa Cruz. It's popular with tourist and locals for many reasons. As you can see the beach hosts a large rock formation with a natural arch which is where the beach gets its name. The formation used to consist of two connected bridges but one collapsed back in the 70's. Such is the destiny of all such formations along the Pacific Coast due to the erosive forces of the sea. But as these formations deteriorate, new ones are currently being formed. For now, this one still makes a great subject for landscape photographers and beach lovers.
