Aspens begin their Fall Color display behind the beaver pond in Lundy Canyon on the Eastern Sierra. This is perhaps one of the most interesting places to see the color change across the spectrum that aspen trees pass through as the cold air drops down the steep slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The colors are nicely reflected in the pond. Early morning will find the beaver pond smooth like glass but there was a slight breeze that broke the colors up in to party like confetti. The image just makes me hungry for some pumpkin pie and autumn spices.
