As is typical for Yosemite Valley these days a large number of photographers line up along Sentinel Bridge looking East towards the ever impressive Half Dome. But with so many people gathering around I lost interest and walked to the opposite side of the bridge looking back down the valley towards El Capitan. This on amazing tree leans out over the river and looks as if it may topple at any moment but it has hung on for years now as it seemingly try to lean out over the river like a person trying to get a better view of Half Dome. As I stood there just watching a couple of ducks landed just in front of the bridge and began swimming downstream. I set up to capture them not thinking it would be a great shot when the sun broke through on the distant trees and meadow to the right. Sometimes it pays to be board and go looking for something a little different. So this is my image from Sentinel Bridge that day.
